Ra Hee Jeon was named to two positions with the Virginia Bar Young Lawyers Conference for the 2018-2019 Bar Year: Co-Chair of the Children and The Law Commission, and Conference Liaison for Family Law.
Jeon, associate attorney at Virginia Beach Law Group, has been passionate about the legal needs of children since her time as an international exchange student at George Washington University. She pursued that drive at Regent University Law School, where she completed all of the hours required for Guardian Ad Litem as a student. Upon graduating, Jeon focused her efforts on immigration law, especially as it affected unaccompanied minors. Her tireless work in Juvenile Domestic Relations Courts and Arlington Immigration Court on behalf of Special Immigrant Juveniles has clearly been noticed.
“Whether I’m working with children abroad or in my community, I strive to give a voice and to children,” says Jeon.
The Virginia Bar Young Lawyers Conference is part of the Virginia Bar Association membered by attorneys under the age of 36. The Children and The Law Commission formed to meet the legal needs of children across Virginia. One of the Commission’s ongoing projects is their “Shutdown Cyberbullying Initiative.”
