Meet Melissa:

Melissa J. Benvenuto is a Hampton Roads native and her practice encompasses Real Estate and Wills & Estate Planning.
 
Ms. Benvenuto attended Regent University where she earned her B.A. in Government (with a Pre-Law Emphasis; Minor in Criminal Justice) and her Juris Doctor degree. During her law school career, Ms. Benvenuto was a Graduate Assistant for Regent Law Career Services, the Executive Director of Public Relations for the VBA Student Chapter, and was a student member of the James Kent American Inn of Court, The Federalist Society, the Virginia Women’s Attorney’s Association, and the Virginia Beach Bar Association. Ms. Benvenuto gained valuable experience interning with the Judges of the Chesapeake Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court, as well as local public defender and commonwealth’s attorney offices utilizing her Third-Year Practice Certificate. Throughout her college and law school tenure, she volunteered countless hours - with a heart for giving back to her community and those in need. She was awarded the "Community Changer Award" out of her graduating class for her commitment to public service.
 
In her free time, Ms. Benvenuto loves to cook, bake, and work in her garden – with the main goal of keeping her family and plants well fed. She has a yorkie named “JJ” who helps her out quite a bit with his “Paw Degree.” His areas of practice encompass napping and dinner time surveillance.
