A former owner of a major league baseball team once said “Baseball is almost the only orderly thing in a very un-orderly world. If you get three strikes, even the best lawyer in the world can’t get you off.” As a baseball enthusiast, Otis Forbes respectfully disagrees and reports that he would at least argue that one of those strikes was a ball to get the batter another chance at a hit.
Otis Forbes has, in his 28 year legal career, represented individuals charged with serious offenses – robbery, attempted murder, drug distribution, and DUI, for example – and then those that are not considered quite as serious – curfew, speeding and dog-at-large, to name a few.
Regardless of the nature of the charge, Mr. Forbes uses his experience as a former Navy Judge Advocate, Special Assistant U.S. Attorney, and civil litigator to ensure that each one of his “batters” gets the best chance at the “plate” that he or she can get when appearing before a judge.
Otis Forbes is a native of Richmond, Virginia and has lived in Virginia Beach since 1984. If he’s not in court or in the office seeing clients, you can usually find Mr. Forbes at the beach or at the ball park.
